1. What are Masons?

We are a group of men who enjoy sharing the virtues of Honesty, Morality, Integrity, and Tolerance.

 

2. What do Masons do?

Masons contribute. Not necessarily monetarily, but by living our lives in such a manner to make the world a better place.

 

3. What can I get out of Masonry?

Most men get the realization that it is not necessary to receive something tangible for every good act or deed performed.

We also receive fellowship, and friendships that turn us into brothers!

 

4. How does one become a Mason?

ThatŐs the magic question! All you have to do is ask a brother to become a Mason. We canŐt ask you, you have to ask us. You are always

welcome to come down to lodge, visit with us, have a nice meal, and get to know the brethren. You can email us here too if you want.

The requirements to be a mason are: be a man over the age of 18, belief in a deity (see below), and also a supporter and defender of the

Constitution of the United States.

 

5. How much is it to join Hill City Lodge?

ItŐs $60/ degree you progress though. Since thereŐs only three degrees, once you become a Master Mason, itŐs only $180.

After that, its $45 year.

 

6. How much time commitment is Masonry?

That all depends on you. Masonry, in no way, should interfere with your normal obligations and pleasures, such as your faith, occupation,

or family. While we want you to come to as many events as possible, we also know that you do have a life outside of lodge.

 

7. Is Masonry a religion?

NO NO NO NO NO! Masonry is NOT a religion. While we use scripture in meetings, we are not a religion. To be a mason, you must express

faith in a deity. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Zorosterists, any faith may join Masonry. Therefore, athiests cannot be Masons.

Masonry is a tool to help you mature in your faith.
